The aim of this course is to provide decisionmakers, and technical and non-technical staff a general introduction to the WCO Data Model, a universal language developed by WCO for cross-border data exchange.
At the end of the course you will understand:
- The role of the WCO Data Model and the benefits of using simplified and harmonized trade procedures, and sharing data across borders.
- The use of the WCO Data Model for different customs procedures.
- The concept of 'Single Window' and its linkage with the WCO Data Model.
- The connection of the WCO data model with other international standards.
- The challenges and best practices for the implementation of the WCO Data Model.
The course will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to complete.
Upon completing the course, learners are encouraged to complete the WCO Data Model: Advanced course for technical training on how to use the WCO Data Model.
